Today we started welding on repairs to the firebox!!! The decision was made to start on the largest repair area.  Our technical department had an issue with this, but it was resolved.

Todd took about 4 hours to position and align the patch. Randy Woehl assisted him as this was a heavy repair. 

It took about 4 hours to get it positioned and tack welded. The piece had severely warped from all the heat in forming it.

Todd was able to get a seam weld around the entire patch today!!! Awesome news! Tomorrow Todd will continue with fill weld. Which May take awhile and then start the smile patches. We will continue to evaluate the repairs necessary.

Todd will work this entire week as needed.
