Steve And Mona’s Wedding Reception

Steve Sedaker (the President of the Pacific Railroad Preservation Association) and Mona Nichols (one of our crew members) held their wedding reception at the Oregon Rail Heritage Center last weekend.

Steve and Mona had met in January 2018 while riding on the Empire Builder train. A few months later, they made a trip together taking the Empire Builder to the Izaak Walton Inn in Essex, Montana.

When it was time to chose a wedding location, it only made sense to get back on a train! So, they got back on the Empire Builder and returned to Essex, Montana. It was there that they became man and wife.

Because the wedding took place in the snowy mountains of Montana in the middle of Winter, not all of Steve and Mona’s friends and family were able to make the trip to Essex for the ceremony.

So when it was time to choose a location for a local reception, it only made sense to celebrate at ORHC with them (and the SP&S 700!).

Steve and Mona, thank you for letting us celebrate with you. We love you both and wish the two of you a wonderful marriage filled with laughter, love and many more grand adventures.
